lives just around the corner from me in leafy chiswick. Very sorry to see this lady go- proper character, mad a box of frogs but lovely with it until the end. Had many random chats with her and she was always funny and daft as you'd think

My other half saw that show Nursey at The Phoenix Bar in Charing Cross Rd.
Apparently this fella was originally her pillattes partner, I’m sure he got her into a few awkward positions...

My best friend went to her 'show' last year. It was in a pub in London somewhere. It was along the lines of 'An Audience With...' type thing. Apparently she was just telling stories about her life and looking and sounding really frail and strange. My friend told me Fenella had some bloke with her - much younger than her - who was supposed to be her biographer-cum-manager. Every time an audience member asked Fenella for a comment or anecdote about an actor she'd worked with, or a film she'd been in, her 'manager' would swoop in to stop her answering, saying it was being saved for the forthcoming book. In the end FF didn't end up talking about anything remotely interesting, just a load of waffle about how Fellini had wanted to make her his muse.
Then afterwards my friend caught sight of FF and her manager canoodling.
My friend said it was the most bizarre evening she's ever spent, and her career had been in Fashion, so I reckon that's saying something.
